Bako Agricultural Research Center has conducted a field day on 21-22 October 2017 to show its research achievements to various stake holders and to collect feedback for its future research interventions. In the two days field day program, more than 350 participants invited from farming communities, Oromia Regional State president office, Oromia Planning & Economic Development commission, Oromia Bureau of Agriculture and Natural Resource, Oromia Bureau of Livestock and Fishery Development, East Welega and Buno Bedele zones agriculture and natural resource offices, Chewaka and Wayu Tuka districts’ agriculture and natural resource offices and others have visited various research activities and technologies both on-station and on farmers’ fields.

In the course of field visit, participants appreciated rice and finger millet technologies scaling up and seed multiplication activities by farmers of cheweka district of Buno Bedele Zone and Wayu Tuka District of East Wollega Zone respectively. The visited rice and finger millet growing farmers expressed their satisfaction on the technologies they received from Bako Agricultural Research Center.
