Cluster based large scale demonstration is one of the fundamental strategy for technology promotion, certified seed production and productivity enhancement. To this end, Oromia Agricultural Research Institute (IQQO) Agricultural Growth Program (AGP-II) supported cluster based large scale demonstration of proven food and feed crops technologies. A total of 25 Woreda were addressed in this program. Activities at Lume, Dugda, Chora, Bedele, Wayu Tuka, Horo, Guduru, Hababo Guduru and Jimma Rare Woreda were visited during the last two weeks; farmers’ field day was also organized across all the districts. The performance was so beautiful. Such large scale demonstration will minimize the shortage of improved seeds to some extent, as most of the multiplied seeds are pre-basic & basic.

We would like to thank the donor partners, implementing centers, our practitioner researchers & other support staffs, Woreda office of Agriculture, the Development Agent & farmers.
